I am a memeber of gerardbutlergals.com, another great website devoted to Gerry. The site has lots of great articles on 300, often we are the first Gerry site to post updates on this movie.

I am over from gb.net. This is a great idea, or exchange of ideas. Gerry Butler will be great as the King in this movie. It is terrific that Hollywood is finally getting the message that moviegoers want to see real leading men as heroes in the movies and not what they have been considering leading men in the past (or anti-leading men).

Side note: In a recent interview Gerry explained why he wanted to have scarring on his face for the role of beowulf. He said that he was over seeing actors playing men who were supposed to be warriors without marks on their bodies, or as he said "these guys go around getting the crap kicked out of them and beating the s**t out of others and they never get a mark on them?"

He will be great in this movie...

Greetings lady ski bum~

It will be realistic if the Spartans at least have scars since their profession were as warriors. All they did was train for battle and fight, therefore, it would be improbable if somewhere along the line they didn't receive a nick or two.

Cheers,

John
