Blog Number 23 - Frank Miller 's '300' casting for 'Oracle girl'

According to Superhero Hype! once again, there is a casting call for a woman aged 18-24 to play the 'Oracle girl'. The oracles of Delphi had an influence on the events of the Greco-Persian Wars, therefore, how this character plays out in the movie, could lend a touch of authenticity to the film. This role could go a long way in pacifying those who are not enamored with '300' being made into a movie in lieu of 'Gates of Fire'.

G'day Gavin~

Wouldn't it be great if they could've combined the characters from 'Gates of Fire' along with '300'? Steven Pressfield did such a great job with 'Gates of Fire' that I would love to see Xeones, Dienekes, Polynikes, Rooster, etc. in a movie about the 300 Spartans. If '300' is successful, why not another movie about the Battle of Thermopylae?

Cheers mate,

John

YES!! If 300 is successful hopefully someone will jump on Gates of Fire. I've not read "300" but how do you make the movie without Dienekes? (I know, you give his we'll fight in the shade line to Leonidas.)
